“what i ate wednesday” is a link party hosted each week by jenn at peas and crayons.
this week, my eats are actually what i ate wednesday, which is why the post is late.
not a very exciting day of eats, but it was pretty satisfying.
i started off with coffee. [shock.]
then i had hard-boiled eggs. i forget about eating eggs straight-up, but this used to be one of my favorite snacks in high school. it sounds semi-weird, but they’re soooo good hard boiled, with just a little salt. soft boiled is good for dinner, because they’re almost like “over medium,” and you can dip toast in them.
i may have peeled these at my desk. my my work neighbor was at a meeting, so i didn’t feel bad.
i’ve been taking my morning break on our back patio. it’s still work, but it’s incredible to get a breath of fresh air. i carried my cantaloupe down with me to eat it outside. it did not taste as delicious as it should have. i think it over-ripened too quickly.
lunch was something i dreamed about after seeing it on a blog [i just searched my notes to remember which one, but i cannot]. i had a hummus sandwich with a wedge of laughing cow cheese, tomato, cucumber, S + P.
i picked up my favorite hummus while dreaming of this – sundried tomato by a local company.
for dinner, i was thinkin’ domino’s. i wanted to share something healthier for my WIAW, but truly, i haven’t been entirely healthy recently. so i might as well not ‘lie by omission’ here, and just share domino’s.
their crunchy thin crust is dreamy. i was talking about it at work… it really tastes like pizza on a cracker to me.
the gentleman on the phone was convinced i said regular. i did not. i turned around and requested what i really wanted… the crust was all i really wanted! so this eventually happened:
that’s right. i accidentally ordered two whole pizzas, for one, for dinner. :p i guess it’s domino’s for lunch for a while.
i’m really not going to complain. this “healthy living” blog is just all about the balance. i guess the healthier side of balance will be coming soon. ;-)
[truly, i've been struggling with food lately. i can't say again, because it's more like still. i don't feel out-of-control just yet, i just wish i was taking better care of myself. but i want the blog to be more of me. so i'm posting when i want to post, and including what's really going on. i dug my first blog into a hole because i tried to make it one specific thing. if i'm struggling, maybe i'll struggle a little bit on here, as well. jenn says her WIAWs are nice because they show her her habits through whatever is going on - vacation, sickness, holidays. so it will be nice to see the good and the bad, right? :p though a few things went unphotographed this week. ah, well.]
before bed i tested out a weight watchers’ sundae i bought over the weekend: cookie dough sundae. parts of it were lackluster, but it had a great little cookie crumble bottom…
happy what i ate wednesday – on thursday! truly, i’ve been struggling with food lately [i can't say again, because it's more like still]. i don’t feel out-of-control, i just wish i was taking better care of myself.

nah, eggs are only ever meant to be soft boiled! I don’t know why I dislike hard boiled eggs so much when I love all other types, but, ugh – can’t do it! With you on the sundried tomato houmus though – yum! And good on you for sharing your dominos (both of them!) – you at least succeeded in making one reader very jealous!
hahaha. i miss soft-boiled eggs. glad someone’s with me on the domino’s, too.
Stick with it and you will get it under control again. I have faith in you. We had pizza on Saturday and Ralph was asking on Wednesday if we could order another…I told him “in your dreams…not on a WEdnesday!” So I think we have a date for pizza on Saturday night again. I do love it, just know I shouldn’t have it too often. 2 pizzas?! Did you have to pay for both?!
haha. no, just one. the guy working the counter seemed mad at me when i told him it wasn’t what i asked for. when he handed both to me, i figured he thought i was fibbing for a free pizza.
